Greetings Sandra from the land of Oz in the USA. As others have said, thank you for imparting such excellent jazz knowledge. After watching your guitar reviews, it is obvious to me that you and I have very similar tastes in what we like in a jazz guitar; shape, size, beveled board edges, frets, etc. That said, I strongly encourage you to get your hands on a Sadowsky Semi-Hollow and try it out. I acquired mine about five years ago, and for me, it just checks all the boxes. I still have a few other objectively great guitars that I occasionally play for a change, but the Sadowsky is my #1. I have a feeling you would really bond with one of these too. All the best, Paul.

I own an Ibanez AS 93FM a model slightly lower than the AS153. Mine has a maple veneer top which looks good. I love that guitar, not only does is sound great for jazz, it also sounds good for blues, rock and roll and sometimes R&B.

Up fast, down slowly. I always put it in my head.

I think the slow version sounded about the same tempo as in the Sinatra version from the movie Pal Joey.

6/30/24 I have been playing the guitar since '73 or '74 (yeah, I'm old). I started playing Satin Doll in the 70's. Didn't get far enough so... here I am. This is a great version. It's similar to what I learned a long time ago. I'm going to give it another whirl. Your version is great, and you are a great teacher. Thank you for sharing!!
